Full course description
Educators are so busy engaging in their daily tasks of taking care of the needs of students and families, they often do not think about planning for their financial futures. The Public School Retirement System (PSRS) is an exceptional benefit, but it is often under appreciated and undervalued by early career educators.
Teachers become a member of PSRS when they begin working for a participating Missouri public school district and need to understand how this defined benefit pension system works compared to the familiar 401K or other type of retirement plan. PSRS provides educators future financial security even in times of economic downturn. The content in this course helps educators better understand the unique retirement benefit offered to Missouri teachers.
