Virtual instruction may seem like an impersonal and disconnected learning environment. But, it doesn’t have to be! Join us for a discussion on intentional strategies you can use to build rapport with parents and students in online learning environments. Using the National Standards for Quality Online Teaching as our guide, we will work to make the unknown a little less scary. 

GOCSD is excited to partner with Dr. Nichole Lemmon, the Director of Digital Learning at Springfield Public Schools, to offer this FREE virtual equity session. Nichole began her teaching career at Central High School, teaching in a bathroom converted into a classroom. There, she developed the media program Central Intelligence. She created the first online learning courses for SPS, now known as the Launch program, and has directed the Ignite initiative, providing students with digital tools, such as iPads and Chromebooks in the classroom.
