Participants will learn or be reminded of the importance of preparing for and engaging with legislators and others on legislation, and how to approach the effort.

Community Engagement 2.0: Grassroots Advocacy by CJ Huff

Now, more than ever, school leaders are challenged with providing leadership to meet the diverse needs of students & raising student achievement. This all while simultaneously fighting policies and legislation that have the potential to undermine this important work. In this session, school leaders will learn strategies on how to engage diverse stakeholders to advocate on behalf of schools and a collective vision for the future of our kids.
